Winter Staple: The Military Coat

Fall-winter 2016-2017 is the season for military coats. The military coat is a winter wardrobe essential. Military-style coats often come in classic colors such as, nude, olive green, navy blue and black. The military coat is perfect for those women who do not typically wear bright colors, but want to be edgy. The detail in a military coat cannot go unnoticed with its gold rounded buttons, exaggerated shoulders and defined waist line. You simply cannot go wrong with this coat. What I love about the military coat is that it looks great with pants, jeans and skirts. The coat can be dressed up or down.
I paired this coat with a deep V-neck body suit, wool military pants and classic black pumps. The pants are authentic U.S Coast Guard men’s pants that I snagged from a thrift shop. For a strong look I accessorized this outfit with a gold choker, triangular gold earrings and sunglasses.
